NORTH BAY -- One person is facing an assault charge after an argument over money turned physical says Const. Michelle Coulombe of the Ontario Provincial Police.
Officers were called to a dispute between two neighbours on Highway 539A in River Valley on June 12 at 1:25 p.m.
Police say the victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
As a result, a 62-year-old from West Nipissing was arrested and released.
"This is the first similar type of incident police have had with this individual," said Coulombe.
The investigation is ongoing.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 3 in West Nipissing.
