On April 7 at about 1:15 a.m., members of Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol.

“Officers located two impaired drivers within two minutes of each other in the Town of Fort Frances,” said police in a social media post.

“Police determined both parties had been consuming alcoholic beverages at the same establishment.”

Police officials told CTV News in a phone brief interview that both vehicles involved were impounded by the OPP and both drivers received a 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension.

None of the allegations has been proven in court.

“Arrive alive,” said police, reminding everyone to never drink and drive.
