Northwestern Ont. police seize $100K in drugs, four replica guns

One person has been charged after police in Kenora raided a residence late last month and seized drugs and fake guns.

The incident took place Aug. 25 in the area of Rabbit Lake, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Tuesday.

A 34-year-old suspect was arrested first for weapons offences, leading police to get a search warrant for the person's residence.

"A quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription opioids, four replica pistols and items used to traffic controlled substances were seized," the OPP said.

"Estimated street value of these drugs are over $100,000."

Charges include five counts of drug trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
