Jason Maslakow quickly became an internet sensation known as 'Dart Guy', after a picture of him at a Toronto Maple Leafs playoff game with a cigarette in his month went viral.

Now, the Sudbury-born man says he’s giving up the darts; for good.

“Well this is it, #thefinaldart for #Dartguy, I encourage anyone that's ready to #quitwithdartguy,” he tweeted.

Maslakow was seen by many as a good luck charm for the Leafs.

The 37-year-old was even invited by the team to attend home playoff games, during their first round series against the Washington Capitals.

“To feel this kind of connection, this closeness to Leafs nation, the fan base and organization itself, it has been an absolute dream,” said Maslakow, during an interview with CTV in April.

“It almost feels like a reward for a lifelong loyalty.”

The Leafs are still supporting Maslakow.

Brendan Shanahan, team president, has tweeted his support of Maslakow's efforts to quit smoking.
