North Bay police searching for Canada Day assault suspect

Police in North Bay are looking for a man believed to be involved in an assault at a home on Highway 63 on Canada Day.

An investigation continues into a fight that took place between two people around 6 a.m. on July 1 in the 200-block of Trout Lake Road and now police are asking for the public's help.

Few details have been released and the description of the suspect is currently limited to a Caucasian male approximately 35 years old.

"North Bay police are asking anyone with footage from security cameras, doorbell cameras, or dashboard cameras in the area of Trout Lake Road, Water Street, and Highway 11/17 near Trout Lake Road between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on July 1 to contact police at 705-472-1234," the agency said in a news release Friday morning.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers.

Police released a closed circuit television image of the suspect they are looking for.
