SUDBURY -- Environment Canada has issued various weather alerts for northeastern Ontario.
Winter Storm Warning

- Kapuskasing - Hearst - Smooth Rock Falls
- Little Abitibi - Kesagami Lake
Significant snowfall and blowing snow expected Thursday night into Friday morning.
Total snowfall near 25 cm is expected with northerly wind gusts of 50 to 60 km/h.
Officials suggest postponing non-essential travel until weather improves, as visibility could be an issue along with quickly changing and deteriorating conditions.

Snow will begin Thursday afternoon and become heavy in the evening,
These communities could see 15 to 25 cm of snow by Friday afternoon, with some strong winds gusting up to 60 km/h.
Visibility will be reduced while on the roads.

Rain Thursday night is expected to change to snow Friday, with many communities seeing up to 25 mm of rain.
Up to 10 cm of snow is expected by Friday night.
All of these conditions take place later on this afternoon and will persist overnight before reducing to flurries late Friday.
