SUDBURY -- A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with Monday's stabbing in Sudbury near the 'Four Corners' on Paris Street.
Sudbury police are now giving more details into the incident that happened just before 2 p.m. April 27.
Officers responded to a weapons complaint connected to a stabbing at an apartment building in the city's South End.
Officials say a 56-year-old man was found inside an apartment within the building and had sustained a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and the man believed to be responsible fled in a black Kia sedan before police arrived.
OPP officers found the vehicle on Highway 69 at Riverside Drive in Britt around 8:50 p.m. that night.
The accused was taken to Greater Sudbury Police Service headquarters and remains in custody after a bail hearing Tuesday.
He has been charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Fail to comply with a probation order x 3
