SUDBURY -- Just after 2 p.m. on Monday, Greater Sudbury Police Service tweeted about the heavy police presence at 1960 Paris Street, near the city's "Four Corners."
Police say officers responded to a weapons complaint and believe an adult man was stabbed by another man the victim knows.
They say the man responsible is believed to have fled the scene and that it is an isolated incident.
People are being asked to avoid the area on Paris Street near the Four Corners.
Police say as a result of the incident, a 56-year-old man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to the general public.
Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
