Man guilty of brutal assaults in Sudbury charged with vicious jailhouse attack
A Toronto man convicted in a series of brutal assaults in Sudbury is facing new charges following an incident at Millhaven Institution in Kingston, where he is incarcerated.
Cameron Alamina, 24, has been charged with aggravated assault and possessing and carrying a concealed weapon.
Ontario Provincial Police were contacted Jan. 26 about an assault in which the victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries caused by an edged weapon.
Alamina is serving an eight-year, three month sentence for aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a firearm for two incidents in Sudbury.
