A 32-year-old man from North Bay has been charged with criminal harassment and other offences following an incident Sept. 17 at a business on Fisher Street.

"The accused attended a business on Fisher Street multiple times but was repeatedly denied entry due to safety concerns relating to previous incidents involving the accused and the victim, who is an employee of the business," North Bay police said in a news release Monday.

"During one of the attempts to enter the business, the victim was present and the accused made threats against her safety. The accused was located later the same day at which point he was arrested and charged by police."

Charges include uttering threats, causing a disturbance and mischief under $5,000, in addition to criminal harassment.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
