A 32-year-old local man is facing assault charges after an incident in Greater Sudbury’s Donovan neighbourhood Thursday afternoon.

Sudbury police say they received a 9-1-1 call just after 4 pm that someone had been stabbed at a home on Mabel Avenue.

Officers arrived at the scene and found that one male had been stabbed. The accused was taken into custody, while three people taken to Health Sciences North with non-life threatening injuries.

The man is being charged with breaking and entering, assault, and assault with a weapon.

Police say the incident involved two people that were known to each other and there was no danger to the public.

An investigation also resulted in the seizure of an illegal firearm, stolen property, and an undisclosed amount of cash and is ongoing.
