It is Salvation Army week in Sudbury
This week is Salvation Army week in Greater Sudbury and the local Christmas Kettle campaign is already well underway.

“We are at about 37, 38% of our goal,” said Salvation Army Lt. Jeff Robertson.
“We know people are stretched but people have been so generous the money is coming in our kettles every day that they are out and we are grateful for the people.”
Robertson said the organization still has a long way to go with its fundraising so that it can continue to help influence and transform lives throughout the year.
Sudbury mayor Paul Lefebvre echoed Robertson’s sentiments.
“The Salvation Army, they have their targets they are not there yet at all,” he said.
“I know Sudbury is a great community where we can provide more and certainly when there is a call to action we rally around it and so if we rally around the Salvation Army at this time of year and support them because I know they are giving a lot back to our community.”
