John Roberts died in hospital on December 15, 2016 while in police custody for impaired driving, resulting in a mandatory inquest under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Roberts’ death.
It is expected to last two days and will include approximately three witnesses.
A jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest will begin at 9 am on Monday, November 26th at the North Bay Courthouse on 360 Plouffee Street.
Dr. Steven Bodley will preside as inquest coroner and Russ Wood will be counsel to the coroner.
