Hwy. 17 reopens near Echo Bay after crash
Highway 17 between Bar River Rodd East and Lake George Road East has reopened after been closed for a few hours Saturday afternoon because of a crash.
Ontario Pronvicilal Police (OPP) announced the closure in a tweet.
“Highway closed following a collision,” said police on social media.
“OPP on scene."
No details on the cause of the collision, if any charges are pending or the extent of any injuries have been released by police.
The Ministry of Transportation’s Traveller Information Service indicates the highway closure began shortly after 3 p.m. and it reopened shortly before 6 p.m.
No detours were listed by police or the ministry.
