The Ontario Provincial Police have now identified human remains found back in late June on Highway 17 in the Township of Rabazo, 5km south of Wawa near Michipicoten River Village.
32-year-old Devin Collin of Sudbury was last seen in Wawa on May 29 and was reported missing on June 17.
A postmortem revealed that Collin was shot, deeming his death a homicide.
OPP believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to public safety.
Police are asking anyone who may have information regarding his disappearance to contact the OPP, the nearest police authority, or submit anonymously through Crime Stoppers, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
