Update:

Police have now identified the victim in yesterday's crash of two transports on Highway 69, south of Sudbury, near Key River.

They say 53-year-old Eugene Coon of Sudbury died when his northbound tractor trailer crashed into a southbound transport.  The crash happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday and the highway was closed all day, re-opening during the supper hour to one lane.   The investigation continues.

Ontario Provincial Police say a horrific crash on Highway 69, south of Sudbury, on Wednesday, has left one person dead.

Police say the crash involved two transports and it took place just south of the Key River Bridge, not far from the Still River OPP detachment.

The highway has been closed all day in that area, with detours in place, but officers say it will be re-open in the early evening, to one lane of alternating traffic.
