Heritage Railway & Carousel needs volunteers

The Heritage Railway & Carousel is in need of at least 12 more volunteers for the summer season. 

 

It’s the 30th year of the waterfront attraction has been running, and two of the original volunteers still remain.

“We have to operate one of the miniature trains, we have the big carousel, we have the small carousel, we like to have all three rides going and if we don’t have enough volunteers unfortunately the small carousel it doesn’t get used,” said volunteer Dan Coutts.

 

“So, we like to have enough volunteers on each shift to operate.”

 

Coutts said the HRCC hopes to be open the Victoria Day long weekend beginning Saturday, May 20 from 10:00 AM to dusk.
