SAULT STE. MARIE -- The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating a murder that took place Jan. 9 in the central part of the city.
Police say 44-year-old John David Jamieson was shot and later died in hospital.
Officers with the investigation unit have taken over the investigation. They believe this is an isolated incident and there’s no threat to public safety.
Police would not say if Jamieson was known to them.
