Four PUC Powerline Technicians from Sault Ste. Marie are going above the call of duty during this Christmas weekend.

(Supplied)Hundred of thousands of people across Ontario and Quebec were left without power Friday after a powerful winter storm ripped through the provinces.

 

In a statement, the crew was said to be leaving the Sault Saturday morning and will start working in Parry Sound before heading further south.

“It is still being determined how long it will take to repair all the damage caused by the storm,” said PCU in a news release.

Environment Canada has issued a statement saying the storm may continue through to Sunday.
