"Upon arrival, a person was observed fleeing the scene in a motor vehicle," the OPP said in a news release Thursday.

"Police later located the driver and vehicle at a business on Main Street in Latchford. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Temiskaming detachment for further testing."

Charges include resisting arrest, two counts of refusing to take a breath test, causing a disturbance, violating probation, two counts of driving while suspended, impaired driving, driving with cannabis and liquor readily available, and numerous other driving offences, including driving with a defaced licence plate and failing to surrender their driver's licence.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday.
