A 35-year-old offender missing since Aug. 28 was arrested in Sudbury, police said in a news release Tuesday.

Daniel Kataquapit was located and arrested by the repeat offender parole enforcement (ROPE) squad.

Kataquapit was serving a two-year sentence for several offences, including break and enter, theft and fraud under $5,000.

"The provincial ROPE squad would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation," police said.
