Do you know this person? Timmins police seeking help identifying suspect

Timmins Police Service is investigating a weapons incident at Albert’s Hotel on Mountjoy Street South that occurred Sunday evening.

“An unknown individual assaulted a victim with an edged weapon outside of the Albert’s Hotel … after a brief verbal altercation,” police said in a social media post on Monday.

“The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack.”

Police have not released any details about the identity of the victim.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. on July 28, according to Timmins police.

Police shared an image of a suspect in the incident that was captured by a surveillance system (shown above) as part of their Facebook post and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect.

“The criminal investigation division of the Timmins Police Service is actively investigating this incident,” reads the social media post.

“Should anyone recognize the clothing, or identify the suspect, please contact Timmins Police Service 705-264-1201.”
