Residents in areas from Sault Ste. Marie to Sudbury, North Bay and south to Parry Sound, are digging out after a Colorado low passed through.

Environment Canada has ended its winter storm warning, but is calling for periods of snow and blowing snow Wednesday.

School bus transportation was cancelled once again for many communities across the northeast, including:

  • Greater Sudbury
  • Manitoulin Island
  • North Bay to Parry Sound
  • Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Matheson
  • Kirkland Lake to Temagami

However, buses in the Sault Ste. Marie area were back up and running Wednesday after being cancelled Tuesday.

CTV News talked to Charlene Lavallee and her partner who live in the Greater Sudbury community of Garson as they were digging their way out of the latest major snowfall.

“This winter is just a whole lot of shovelling. Like you shovel out your driveway, you shovel out the sidewalk, you go in the house, the snowplow comes by and fills up the sidewalk and your driveway, you gotta do it again. And sometimes there's some pretty big balls of snow dumped there too.” said Lavallee.
