Couples married for more than 40 years pose for Powassan photo shoot ahead of Valentine's Day
Ahead of Valentine's Day, Cupid's bow and arrow struck several happy couples in Powassan.

"We're going to send them to our kids so they can see what we look like," Dave said, with a chuckle.
The Kinseys shared the story of the day they met with CTV News. Joyce was leaving church and accidentally bumped into Dave knocking him down the stairs.
"I don't recommend that," Joyce said, laughing.
"But that's how we met."
The Kinseys are one of more than a dozen couples from the Powassan-area getting professional couples photos taken ahead of the day of romance and love.

While getting their photos taken by local photographer Terry Lang, Tom Morrow and his other half, Dianne, were reflecting on their wedding day and how they first met in Hamilton, Ont. all those years ago before tying the knot.
"We were working together many years ago in the same store," he said.
"Dianne came in for a job application and my boss and I were standing there and she kind of caught my eye."
Before the photos were taken, hair and makeup touch-ups were provided by Lori Hogan-Stiller and Bright Inside Out.
The town's events hub 250 Clark originally planned for this Valentine's Day photoshoot four years ago. But then, the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
"We'll email them their photos afterwards that we've taken so we just want to kind of celebrate the people in our community that have been married a long time," said Kathie Hogan, the events coordinator with 250 Clark.

"Two words: 'Yes dear,'" said Morrow, with a laugh.
The Kinsesys said the most important things in a marriage are trust and dialogue.
"Talk to each other about your issues with the kids or whatever is happening," said Joyce.
She acknowledged that during their marriage Dave had to travel a lot.
"So if there were any problems, I to take care of it," she said.
Officials with 250 Clark said they plan to organize another photo shoot next Valentine's Day.
Hogan said she heard from more interested couples wanting photos.
"I already have people signed up for next year," she said.
One thing was clear as the camera flashed; love is in the air in Powassan.
