A commercial driver from Nova Scotia is facing several charges after witnesses told police he was driving all over the road on Highway 17 in Greater Sudbury last week.

(File photo/CTV News Northern Ontario)Members of the Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment received calls at about 9 a.m. on Sept. 17 about the erratic driving of a transport truck heading west on the highway.
The truck driver “was reported to be travelling at various speeds and all over the roadway, placing other drivers at risk,” OPP said in a release.
“The vehicle was located, and a small amount of drug suspected to be methadone and cocaine was seized.”
As a result of the incident and subsequent police investigation, the driver, a 26-year-old man from Lower Sackville, N.S., was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, falsifying, mutilating or defacing records or documents, entering inaccurate information in his records, driving after 16 hours since last his break without taking eight hours off and two counts of drug possession.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Sudbury on Oct. 16.
None of the accusations has been proven in court.
