NORTH BAY --
In a Tuesday afternoon media release, museum curator Natasha Wiatr said the doors will reopen to the public on Aug. 6 with protocols in place to ensure the safety of visitors, staff and volunteers.
Those safety protocols include a mandatory mask policy, surfaces cleaned regularly and hand sanitizer available throughout the museum.
All interactive exhibits as well as those located in the upstairs portion of the museum will remain closed at this time.
The museum offers a range of attractions dedicated to local history including the town’s role in the First World War and two exhibit rooms dedicated to the miraculous birth of the Dione Quintuplets.
While the gallery does not have an active art show, Wiatr says a local photography show is set to open soon.
With a maximum occupancy restricted to 10 people for the museum and 12 for the gallery, new hours of operations will see the spaces open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday and by appointment only Tuesday-Wednesday.
Virtual tours are still available but the museum is looking forward to welcoming guests back this week.
