Just after 12:05 pm Thursday, April 11, 2019, Sudbury police received a call from a community member regarding what was believed to be a body in Junction Creek off of Riverside Drive in Greater Sudbury.
Officers attended the area and confirmed that there is deceased human body at that location.
Due to the fact that the body is almost completely submerged in water, the identity and gender of the person cannot be confirmed at this time.
Uniform officers and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Unit are on scene.
Officers and Investigators are currently holding the scene and are unable to remove the body until the Coroner arrives.
