Algoma outfitters gather for Great Lakes Outdoor Show
Organizers of the first annual Great Lakes Outdoor Show are hoping to promote all of the outdoor services and experiences available in the Algoma region. The show features tourist, hunting, fishing and camping outfitters from around the area.
People still turned out in crowds for the show Saturday – despite a sudden winter storm that blew through the area that morning.
"We knew the snow was going to hit and it hit pretty hard," said Alex Breathat, a marketing specialist with Great Lakes Outfitters.
"A lot of people came out, we saw a lot of the four-wheel-drives hit us this morning, they came into the parking lot, we knew the show was starting."
Breathat said more than 30 vendors showed up for the exhibition, covering various categories including hiking, fishing, campaign, power sports and outdoor equipment.
