North Bay's airport is starting up a study to see if air carriers could make changes to the way they operate in the city.

The *Air Services Study* includes a questionnaire - which can be found on the airport's website.

Jack Garland Airport looks quite different from when the last survey was conducted in 2013.

Porter Airlines departed for the final time last year and Air Canada made schedule changes.

"We're conducting an air service survey which we do approximately every 5 years, ." said Jack Santerre, North Bay Airport Manager.

Surveys are being conducted by an independent consulting firm and they target 3 groups: the travel industry, business and government agencies,  and the general public.

"People want to be able to get down to Toronto and get back usually the same time..... and the various different flight options are concerns," said Peter Chirico of the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce.

Santerre says the surveys help the airport and the public  better understand what changes have been made. and what changes travelers are looking for.

"What they're looking for... for services from Jack Garland Airport. then we take that out it together for the various airlines that serve our airport as well as if we're looking for new carriers," said Santerre

Consultants will round up all the information and give the airport the results sometime next month.
