Video shows car destroyed by fire in Timmins parking lot
A Timmins driver lost their Dodge Charger in a fire when it spontaneously burst into flames after stopping to grab some pizza Tuesday afternoon.

Crystal Evans told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca she was nearby when she noticed the vehicle fire around 2:20 p.m. March 19 in a parking lot on the corner of Algonquin Boulevard West and Waterloo Road.
The video she recorded of the blaze (posted above) appears to show the fire began in the front end of the vehicle.
The car reportedly started smoking and then ignited, Timmins deputy fire chief Scott Atkinson told CTV News in a phone interview Wednesday.
Atkinson said he doesn't know what happened to cause the fire, but "it looks like it started in the engine compartment."
Firefighters were at another incident when the call came in and when they arrived, the car was fully engulfed.
No one was injured in the blaze.

The car was destroyed and the burned-out shell was taken away on a flatbed truck.

CTV News reached out to Stellantis, the auto manufacturing company that owns Dodge Canada, for comment and is awaiting a reply.
