A Sudbury business is counting up the damage total after multiple incidents of vandalism.

Not one, not two, but three broken windows.

Absolute Health on Lasalle Boulevard has been the target of what is believed to be mischief vandalism.

"We noticed that there was a rock sitting in my window, in one of our front windows," said Dr. Shawn Rossi.

"At that point we thought that possibly it was just a rock (from) off of the road and we just thought nothing of it."

Rossi said after the second incident he started to talk with people in the area.

"Someone had mentioned to me that they heard that there was a car driving by with a sling shot, breaking windows numerous times," Rossi said.

"(At) New Sudbury, all of Lasalle and Barrydowne, we've had numerous businesses similar complaints where middle of the night," said Ashley Laberge, Greater Sudbury Police Service community safety personnel.

"They're showing up in the morning and their front windows are shattered."

Police say businesses can choose to install security cameras, as one way of trying to deter this type of behaviour.

Rossi hopes speaking out on vandalism will help put it to an end.

"It could be dangerous if someone was inside and the lights were closed. That shattered glass could fall all over us. It leaves the building exposed overnight and secondly it's very costly, because those can't just go through insurance continuously," Rossi said.

Police say they have tallied the damage reported by both businesses and home owners in this area over the last couple of years.

It is estimated to be anywhere from $70,000 to $100,000.
