Police officials say a Sault Ste. Marie man killed in an all-terrain vehicle collision last week rolled over three times before he was ejected from his ATV.

In a media release issued on Monday, the Ontario Provincial Police released details about the accident from Friday.

Police officials said it happened shortly after 8 a.m. in McNie Township, north of Thessalon. Kenneth Aubin, 62, was killed in the single vehicle ATV collision.

“The ATV operator was travelling northbound on McNie Road when the ATV he was driving lost control on the roadway and rolled three times,” reads a statement from the OPP.

“The operator was ejected and came to rest on the gravel roadway. The ATV subsequently came to its final rest next to the driver.”

Police said the driver was wearing his helmet at the time of the collision. A post-mortem date has yet to be confirmed.
