Many types of musical genres have been heard at the Stars and Thunder Music and Fireworks festival this week; Franco to rock and roll, pop and country are all on the list, but on Wednesday night it'll be electronic dance music from a local DJ.
Timmins will be introduced to the mixes of DJ artist Jonathan Rosa. He's the son of well-known Timmins city councillor Noella Rinaldo and real estate agent Perry Rinaldo.
Jonathan lives and works in Toronto now and plays festivals throughout southern Ontario, the states and Caribbean. This is his first time playing in Timmins and he's excited to show off his beats.
“I just love the music,” said Rosa.
“It's really different, on the cutting edge of experimental music. You won't be able to hear it on the radio or anywhere else really. It should be fun."
Rosa is opening up tonight for Canadian pop stars Hedley.
