Man drowns after weekend swimming incident on the Muskoka River
Bracebridge OPP and emergency crews were called to assist after a man failed to surface while swimming in the Muskoka River July 21 shortly before 1:00pm .
They say a man was swimming in the river with a friend when he went in to distress and slipped under the water. The victim was located by bystanders and CPR was initiated.
20-year old Roberto Carmona of North York was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
This investigation is ongoing.
