Update:

Ontario Provinicial Police say two men, both of Elliot Lake, are the victims in Friday night's fatal, head-on crash on Sudbury's Highway 17 bypass.

50-year-old Kenton Gorman and 82-year-old William Howell both died in the collision.

OPP says the investigation will continue.

Ontario Provincial Police say two people have died after a head-on collision on the southeast bypass of Highway 17 in Greater Sudbury Friday night.

Police say the crash happened around 9:10 pm June 14 on Highway 17 at Long Lake Road.

Both drivers were killed in the crash, there were no passengers in either vehicle.

The road was closed between Highways 55 and 69 for several hours while crews investigated, but has since been reopened.

Police say the names of the deceased are being held pending notification of the next of kin.
