Northern Ontario has two new big lottery winners.
The first is Scott Rienguette from Hanmer, who is celebrating a $1-million encore prize win!
He matched all of the seven encore numbers in exact order to win the $1-million prize.
Scott says he's played the lottery for about 20 years and couldn't wait to share the news with his family.
He works as a miner, has been married for fourteen years and has four children, two boys and two girls.
“We plan on doing some home renovations, securing our kids’ educations, and taking a trip to Jamaica.” Said Rienguette.
ENCORE can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an additional $1 and there is an ENCORE draw every day.
Scott’s winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Lasalle Boulevard in Sudbury.
Also celebrating a win is Holly Zack of Garden River.
She picked up $100,000 in the Lotto 6/49 super draw, and also won $5 on another lotto 6/49 selection, bringing her total winnings to $100,005.
Holly’s winning ticket was purchased at Big Arrow Variety and Gas Bar on Highway 17 in Garden River.
