Timmins hospital auxiliary celebrates record-breaking donation
The Timmins and District Hospital Auxiliary recently hosted their annual Christmas luncheon, where members celebrated their collective efforts and remarkable achievements throughout the year.
The highlight of this year's event was the announcement of an extraordinary $100,000 donation to the Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) through its foundation.

The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation (TADHF) is an accredited charity, formed to support TADH by raising funds for medical equipment, beyond funding available from government sources with the goal of providing the best health care to our community and the region.
The generous contribution will be allocated to two critical areas; with half going to support the redevelopment of the emergency department and the other $50,000 being used to purchase essential IV pumps for the hospital's medical floors.
"These enhancements will significantly improve patient care and services within our community," said Barb McCormick, the foundation's manager of donor relations, in a news release.
The hospital's auxiliary plays a vital role in supporting TADH by operating the gift shop, selling Nevada tickets and organizing various seasonal fundraisers.

"Their dedication and commitment are evident as they volunteer countless hours to ensure that the hospital feels like home for patients and their families," TADHF said in the news release.
To date, the auxiliary has donated more than $2,000,000 to the hospital foundation.
"We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of the hospital auxiliary," said Jason Laneville, the foundation's executive director.
"Their commitment not only enhances our facilities but also fosters a sense of community and compassion within our hospital."
