About 4,000 Hydro One customers in Timmins and surrounding areas are without power Friday afternoon.

About 2,000 customers in Timmins are affected by 10 outages, related to freezing rain and severe weather. In one case, a downed tree on a power line is causing issues.

The same is true in Iroquois Falls, where severe weather has left 1,123 customers without power. The repair time estimate for both areas is 11 p.m., according to the outage map.

Another 87 customers are affected in neighbouring Ramore, where power should be restored by 5 p.m.

A minor outage in Cochrane is affecting 20 homes, and there is also a small outage in Mattagami, where there are also flooding concerns. Another 224 customers are currently without power in Foleyet.

Repair time is estimated to be 4 p.m.

Driving the issues are freezing rain warnings from Environment Canada for Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Chapleau and Missinaibi Lake.
