The Canada-wide system known as Alert Ready has added wireless devices to its delivery service.
If you have a cell phone or tablet connected to a network, you may be sent one of the notifications:
- Fire
- Natural
- Biological
- Hazardous
- Environmental
- Terrorist
- Civil
- Admin
When you hear an alert, it is important to story, listen and respond as directed.

On Monday, May 7th at 1:55 pm, compatible devices will receive a test signal of Canada's new public emergency alert system.
The signals are controlled by emergency management officials to warn the public of imminent threats such as tornadoes, floods and fires, as well as water contaminations and amber alerts.
