People will be taking to the streets in Timmins Tuesday night to demand in a united voice an end to violence against women.

The annual Take Back the Night march is set to get underway shortly after 6 pm.

Keynote speaker, Julie Lalonde, tells CTV News that while the Me Too movement has some people talking more openly on the subject of violence against women, there's much more work to be done.

A rally will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday night at the Timmins and Area Women In Crisis centre on Wilson Avenue followed by the march at 7 o'clock.
