A 61-year-old suspect has been charged after police received a report last weekend of someone throwing traffic cones at vehicles on Highway 69.

Ontario Provincial Police were alerted to the hazard in Burwash Township south of Sudbury around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday.

"An individual was walking on the highway and began throwing construction pylons towards vehicles as they passed," the OPP said in a news release Monday.

"Police located and arrested the individual."

The 61-year-old has been charged with causing a disturbance, mischief endangering life, mischief under $ 5,000 and assaulting police.

The accused was held for bail court and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday in Sudbury.
