Robert Steven Wright will return to court in June as his sexual assault charges make their way through the court system.
Wright is currently serving a life sentence at Millhaven penitentiary after being found guilty of second-degree murder in March 2023 and is eligible for parole after serving 12 years.
He was charged in December 2023 with two counts of sexual assault and one count each of criminal harassment and forcible confinement.
The attacks are said to have taken place in 2015 and 2016 in North Bay.
He was found guilty in March 2023 of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Renee Sweeney in Sudbury in 1998.
In video court on Wednesday, his representative, lawyer Aditi Iyer, asked to have the case return to court June 12, when they hope to set a date for trial.
