SUDBURY -- A man from Levack and his passenger received minor injuries July 24 when the vehicle he was driving slid off the road and rolled over all the way down an embankment.
Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police and Sudbury emergency medical services responded around 7:50 p.m. to the crash, which took place on Highway 144, north of Old Cartier Road, Cartier Township.
"Investigation revealed the southbound vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and rolled over down a steep embankment," police said in a news release Monday.
The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries.
"Further investigation revealed the driver had been consuming alcohol and was subsequently arrested," police said.
A 25-year-old Levack man is now charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving.
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Aug. 19, he was issued a 90-day driver's license suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
