SUDBURY -- A 26-year-old man from Greater Sudbury has been charged following a scuffle at a boat launch near Espanola earlier this month.
The incident took place in the early afternoon of Sept. 8 at a boat launch on Portage Road off Espanola Bay (Agnew Lake) in Baldwin Township. In a new release, Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police said two groups of people were trying to use a boat launch at the same time.
"Police attended and investigated a dispute between two separate groups of people using the same boat launch, which resulted in damage to a motor vehicle," police said in a news release.
The Sudbury man has been charged with uttering threats and damaging property. He was released on an undertaking and will be back in an Espanola courtroom Nov. 30 to address the charges.
