SUDBURY -- Officials with the Rainbow District School Board in Sudbury have sent a letter to parents confirming a case of COVID-19 at a local high school.
According to the letter, one individual has tested positive for the virus at Lasalle Secondary School. Officials say that the person is at home in self-isolation.
As a result of the case, two classes have been asked to self-isolate. One is isolating until after Nov. 18th with the second until after Nov. 19th.
The letter says that all students who have been exposed will be contacted by Public Health Sudbury & Districts.
This follows an outbreak that was declared at Sudbury’s Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School last month, which included a potential risk of exposure in that school’s cafeteria.
Lasalle Secondary School will remain open despite the new case.
