SUDBURY – Sudbury City Council is examining preliminary figures which are suggesting a tax hike of 3.5% for homeowners.
It would translate into an extra $9 a month for a home valued at $230,000.
This proposal from the finance committee would also see water and wastewater increase by 4.8%.
In North Bay, the proposed tax increase stand at 5% after a meeting on October 6.
The mayor says more deliberations are still to come, and approval on a number is expected by December 10.
