Sturgeon Falls West Nipissing Police have charged a 52-year-old Sturgeon Falls man with one count of first degree murder in connection with a an altercation Tuesday in Sturgeon Falls.
They say the accused man remains in custody in North Bay and will next appear in court November 28th.
On Tuesday night, a 39-year old woman, Tammy Avery, died in hospital after an altercation at a residence on William Street.
Police say the investigation to this point indicates that the accused and the victim were in a relationship and lived together in the apartment where the incident occurred.
