OPP are reminding snowmobilers to expect the unexpected after three people were stranded and stuck in slush on Lake Nipissing.
Police along with the Nipissing Fire Department responded on Thursday before 10:00 p.m. after three men were reportedly stuck on the lake.
The three snowmobilers were found about ten kilometers away from shore. EMS examined the men and say they were very wet and cold.
OPP are recommending that snowmobilers stay off the lakes. With all the rain, the lakes are very slushy making it difficult to travel.
The OPP also remind snowmobilers to expect the unexpected, dress for the weather, ensure your cell phone is fully charged and never travel alone.
