SIU seeking witnesses for its investigation into the death of a 57-year-old man in Kenora

Ontario's police watchdog is seeking witnesses as it investigates a shooting involving police in Kenora that led to the death of a 57-year-old man.

The Special Investigations Unit says the shooting happened on June 25th.

It says one subject officer and seven witness officers have been identified, and interviews with officers and other witnesses are ongoing.

Five investigators and two forensic investigators have been assigned to the case.
