The situation that drew a large police presence to the Onaping Falls area of Greater Sudbury on Sunday has been resolved.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) advised of the police presence on social media shortly after 11:15 a.m.

“Police are present in the area of A.Y. Jackson Lookout attempting to locate a male party,” said police.

“GSPS is requesting that the public remain away from the area for the time being.”

In a telephone interview with CTV News shortly before 1 p.m., GSPS officials said that police were still on the scene, but it is “not a manhunt” and an update would be provided to the public shortly.

Shortly after 7 p.m., police said they located the man they were looking for.
